Inspired by classic pin-ups and the glamor girls of Hollywood’s golden age, this easy updo has retro charm to spare. A few bobby pins, a pony tail holder, and a little shine spray are all you need to transform your do into something wedding-worthy.

This style works best for straight or textured long hair.

Materials:

Bobby pins

Ponytail holder (preferably one in the same shade as your hair)

Shine spray or smoothing serum, depending on your hair texture

Step 1: Separate a large section of hair in the front on each side.

Step 2: Take the hair in the back and gather into a ponytail.

Step 3: Separate the ponytail into two sections and twist to the end.

Step 4: Take the twisted ponytail and wrap into a bun.

Step 5: Pin in place.

Step 6: Take the remaining front sections and roll a pin curl on either side (For more on styling pin curls, see a tutorial here).

The finished look is fit for walking down the aisle.

Tip: Use a bit of shine spray or smoothing serum to keep this look sleek all day!
