Rachel loves to seek out and share charming, beautiful, fun and quirky wedding details at Austin Wedding Blog, a resource for DIY brides-to-be.

Etsy was one of my favorite places to explore while I was planning my wedding. Looking back, I often imagine doing it all over again using the intimate and refreshing ideas I find while perusing Etsy.  With that in mind, I thought I’d share some of my favorite finds, in the hopes that someone else can incorporate these concepts into their big day.

I love the look of ombré.  The delicate texture of the cascading colors complement the sophistication of a wedding day and helps create an ethereal atmosphere — and we can’t overlook how beautifully it photographs without overpowering your intended color palette. I absolutely adore the mini cakes and think the coasters are such a useful item — guests would love them!

I’m really digging the way chevron is starting to be tied into weddings — it’s so lively, whimsical and fun.  Done correctly, chevron adds lots of character to your special day.
