I loved your story...made me Teary eyed...As a seller on Etsy..boy can i relate to the devastation of a flood. This past January 16th 2011, our home was devastated by the Sandy river in Oregon when it took out the road above our home...the river literally came down the road 1/4 mile and right into our home..the devastation was horrible but we survived. One of the worst parts for me was the fact that my wonderful husband was just in the process of remodeling my Wedding studio in our home and of course...it was ruined. Fortunately, we started over and rebuilt an even better studio. Wonderful friends I've made on etsy and of course my WONDERFUL clients all understood my dilemma and helped me through it. Etsy Brides are fabulous and I so value them and Etsy. Your story just makes me smile as a small part of me loves your story, relates to your story and loves how Etsy incorporates itself into our lives...Best wishes...

And this part "my father Bill Goebel (my hero) spent a lot of time searching the Yukon River picking out the logs needed to build the shelters for the ceremony and facilities for people who made the long journey."
