To celebrate the launch of Etsy’s Registry, we invited a few of our favorite tastemakers to share items they would choose for their own registry. Today, we are pleased to welcome Anh-Minh Le, Editor in Chief of Anthology.
Soon after getting married eight years ago, my husband and I moved into our first house. We were grateful for all of the basics that our friends and family selected from our registry — from dishcloths and knives to pots and pans — but also for the objects that lent a bit more personality to our new home. Etsy is an amazing source for gifts in the latter category, with a plethora of handmade and vintage goods that are often one of a kind.
You don’t have to live in a cabin-like setting to appreciate a rustic touch here and there. Such elements can add instant warmth to a tabletop or room.
These modern pieces are simple and unfussy enough to fit into pretty much any style of interior.
This assemblage was inspired by the theme of Issue No. 7 of Anthology, which focused on infusing fun into everyday life. These gift picks all have one thing in common: they made me smile.
I love the idea of giving a couple just starting out a vintage object that has a history to it. There’s something so romantic about knowing that others have made memories with the piece — and the new recipients can add their own.
A personalized present always seems just a tad more specia l— knowing that you’re the only one who has this exact item, and that the extra effort was made to customize it for you.
