Etsy will be travelling ‘oop North’ for The WI Centennial Fair in Harrogate, Yorkshire on 3-6 September 2015. Come along and celebrate 100 years of WI achievements whilst getting that Etsy shop up to scratch, too.
We’re setting up an Etsy Business School at the WI Centennial Fair to give you all the tools and tip-top advice you need to start making money from your creative talents. If you’re an existing seller looking to get the most out of your Etsy shop, or are a total newbie, there’s a session for everyone. Us Etsy lot will be running classes on how to set up shop and how to get social media savvy, whilst sellers and local WI branches will be talking about the magic ingredients for a successful Etsy business.
All Etsy Business School sessions are free. Each lasts for 30 minutes with time for those burning questions afterwards.
Etsy Business School
The following sessions will be taking place daily on Etsy’s stand (A49 in the Make It Yourself zone, see floorplan).
– 11am – What is Etsy? Join Etsy admin to learn about the vibrant community of makers from all over the world who show off their hand made items on Etsy.
– 12pm – Join an Etsy Team: Meet Sarah Jane, leader of the Wales group of Etsy shop owners. She’ll tell you all about the group, what they have coming up, and how you can join them.
– 2pm – Setting up a successful business: Hear how a talented crafter got started selling the items she makes on Etsy.com and learn from her advice about how to get your own creations out in the world.
– 3pm – Taking beautiful product photography: Meet with Etsy admin to learn the best way to photograph your crafts at home. Review different techniques and easy set ups you can do in your own kitchen.
Each session will accommodate 30 people, with seats being allocated on a first come first served basis. There’s no need to book, just rock up on the day!
What else is going on?
There’ll be heaps of opportunities to learn new skills with a multitude of free demonstrations, talks and workshops. Crochet your own super cute amigurumi animals, get mixing your own signature scent, and practise some fancy calligraphy to take your to-do lists to a whole new level.
Tickets for the WI Centennial Fair start from £11.50. To book yours, click here.
