The Etsy Wedding Fair went by in a blur of confetti and cocktails this May at Oui 2 Rooms. If you couldn’t make the event, or you want to relive those fond, flowery memories, here’s a round up of what went down.
Brides-to-be, surrounded by buckets of blooms picked fresh from the market, made floral headpieces at florist extraordinaire Harriet Parry’s workshop. Harriet also decked out pillars and signage at the venue with greenery.
Then, bridal gangs popped over to the talented ladies from The Wedding Hair Company and got their floral creations styled in a fuss-free and fabulous wedding up ‘do.
In the marketplace, there were seventeen handpicked Etsy sellers, including Hetty Rose (pictured below), with everything you’d need to make the big day a big success.
This meant you could chat IRL to the makers behind the wedding goodies, such as Debbie Carlisle (pictured below).
There was wedding-y stuff for the guys, too. Kate Temple (pictured below) had a stall with bespoke, hand-stitched ties.
Shopping for unique handmade wedding bits and bobs sure is exhausting work. Luckily, The Travelling Gin Co. were on hand, serving cocktails and mocktails from their bicycles.
To the happy couples!
Brides-to-be could get a cute custom illustration drawn by Etsy seller Valeria from Cheeky Toons.
Wedding Smashers played classics, new and old, guaranteed to get everyone from the best man to the mother of the bride boogying on the dance floor.
The wedding dresses were a dazzling mix of sequins, lace and silk. (Us Etsy Admin had to fight the urge to play dress-up all weekend.)
