Well done if you’ve already bought your ticket to the Etsy Wedding Fair this weekend, and bonus points if you’ve booked onto one of our fresh flower headpiece workshops, which have now all SOLD OUT!
We thought we’d give you a flavour of the floral things to come (and don’t forget to follow EtsyUK on Instagram, as well as #EtsyWeddingFair, to see ALL THE PRETTY) with a quick catch up with florist, illustrator and Etsy seller extraordinaire Harriet Parry, who’ll be running this weekend’s workshops…
I’m very excited to be helping Etsy UK with all things floral at this weekend’s Wedding Fair.
Because I paint a lot, I do tend to arrange flowers almost like a painting; I use colours, textures and shapes that I feel work together. My floral style is either experimental and clashing, or wild and loose, staying true to the natural movement of the flowers and foliage.
I’ve been very lucky to work on lots of very interesting projects since starting my business in 2012 from fashion editorials and films, lovely weddings and events and all kinds of other weird and wonderful things… and now the Etsy Wedding fair, of course!
Over the weekend I’ll be showing some of you in my workshops how to make your very own flower headpiece, a floral fascinator, or a flowery head garland. It will definitely get you in the mood for your big day, plus you’ll look fabulous in a colourful creation that you get to take home with you.
The images featured in this post are of a few of my more over-the-top creations, which might help to get you thinking about your own design.
Let your imagination blossom!
