The Etsy Wedding Fair is fast approaching. You can ensure you don’t miss out on the confetti, cake toppers and cocktails by buying your tickets here.
You probably already know this, but Etsy has got to be the number one resource for alternative brides and grooms looking for fun, quirky things for their weddings. Here are some of my all-time favourite sellers that will help you style and design your day with flair.
Accessories
Crown and Glory are my favourite accessory designer, and with good reason! From their studio in Cornwall they make fun, colourful and sparkly headwear for babes that think boring headwear is a waste of everybody’s time. I even did a collaboration with them where I designed some pieces with alternative brides in mind. Check out the popular ‘Bride-to-Be’ headband and ‘Liberace’ bunny ears – they’re my faves.
Obsessed with floral headpieces? Make sure you check out K is for Kani whose inexpensive floral wreaths would look beautiful on a spring bride. How about this statement blue rose wreath as your ‘something blue’?
Janine Basil is another accessory designer that I just can’t get enough of. For lovers of unicorns, rainbows and glitter, her designs really can’t be beaten.
Dresses
Ouma designs wedding gowns for Rock n Roll princesses. Tulle, colour and amazing silhouettes are her signature style. This black and white design is not only completely perfect, but it’s on sale!
E&W make beautiful, alternative outfits, many of which are perfect for brides looking for something more unique. I particularly love their long maxi skirts and crop top combos.
Made by Anatomy’s bridal gowns are designed for modern women seeking unique bridal style. This short lace number would look amazing at a low key elopement.
If ‘effortless’ is your bridal style then you have to check our Truvelle. Their wedding gowns are utterly stunning and this rose gold sequin number is what bridal dreams are made of.
Decor
When it comes to decorating your venue, I adore Seventh and J’s quirky, sparkly pieces. These diamond cake toppers would look amazing on cupcakes or in a donut tower.
If you’re in the market for a personalised cake topper for your modern wedding, Miss Sarah Cake’s perspex designs are the answer. There are so many pieces I love in her shop, but these custom monogrammed letters are too cute to ignore. You can shop from her in person at the Etsy Wedding Fair this May!
Drop It Modern make super fun and colourful decor pieces that will get any wedding party started. How can you not be completely obsessed with their marble balloons?

Do’s and Don’ts for the DIY bride
Rock n Roll Bride is the brainchild of writer Kat Williams. Launched in 2007 while Kat was planning her own wedding, it has quickly grown from ‘just another bride blog’ to one of the biggest in the world. After becoming jaded by the limited offerings of the UK wedding industry, Kat saw a niche for alternative wedding inspiration and ran with it! Kat now works on the site and the accompanying print magazine full-time alongside her husband Gareth.

It was the purple hair that caught my eye! A great list of alternative bridal and accessories sellers, I know a couple of them well, online! I also love to make unusual hair and costume accessories for brides who are a little out there X sue

How lovely! I do wish there were more UK dress makers listed (and the link to E&W, the one UK dress maker listed, isn't working properly for me). Hopefully Etsy will continue to have more UK and European dress makers - the import fees outside dress makers outside Europe are so high - but their dresses are beautiful!! I do love Etsy UK for finding local sellers :)

All of the dress sellers seem to only have white dresses - despite the text saying 'colourful'. You might want to edit that or provide some alternatives

Fantastic list of suppliers. I particularly like the gold dipped wedding gown and the two piece wedding dress. Just beautiful.

Love the marbled balloon. If bouquets were featured here too I'd love to think mine might be a contender :) https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/233298812/playing-card-alice-in-wonderland-theme?ref=shop_home_active_9
