Last week we set up a fashion showroom in London and invited journalists and bloggers along to see what our most stylish sellers have in store for spring/summer 2015.
The curated selection featured covetable handmade fashion and accessories from Etsy sellers across Europe, surely giving the fashion week catwalks a run for their money. Get a glimpse behind-the-scenes at our wow-worthy one day event…
Guests were drawn straight towards the chic full-length wall-hangings. If only all our fireplaces came accessorised with a plethora of on-trend bags, eh?
The styling was clean and minimalistic, in a Scandi sort of way. The 90s-inspired denim duster coat from SILLYELVA received a lot of love from the fashion editors. Owner Elva is inspired by the patterns and colours of our capital. She’s not a fan of ‘fashion rules’ and encourages buyers to play with different ways of wearing the pieces.
Monochrome sat side-by-side with bright pops of colour. Royalcaballito‘s blanket cape is sure to keep any fashionista snug through the chilly weather.
The talented Sarah from MinettaJewellery was on site creating delicate, customised jewellery for our guests. The jewellery, lovingly crafted from her Midlands studio, celebrates the minimal and understated. Her pretty pieces are perfect for layering (any excuse to buy ALL THE THINGS).
Nobody could take their peepers off of these statement-making monster clutch bags from JoannaPybus. The London-based designer and mum to the little monsters (available in a diverse range of colours), is inspired by popular culture and the swinging sixties. Joanna is involved in the entire design process from research to manufacture, ensuring each piece is infused with her signature dash of humour and charm.
The eagle-eyed among you will have seen our four-page spread in last Sunday’s Stella magazine, proclaiming that Etsy just got edgy – and we couldn’t agree more. Next stop, London Fashion Week? Who knows…
