Becky Jones, Etsy UK Press Office Intern
Christmas is just around the corner and here at Etsy’s UK HQ we thought we would share with you our Christmas wish-lists this year, and save you all that hard work (you’re welcome).
I’m a self-confessed closet geek for anything fantasy or sci-fi related. We’re talking Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, the complete works. However, I don’t always let my inner nerdy girl out, mostly to save me from any embarrassing outbursts of inappropriate fan-girl squealing.
So here’s my edit of Christmas presents for that secretly geeky girl in your life (come on, we all know one).
Every fangirl needs a comfy geek-appropriate t-shirt to wear when settling in for a movie marathon, and this one tops them all.
R2D2 is super cute anyway, but on a cushion, why, he’s just adorable.
Keeping track of all the millions of places and gazillions of people in Game of Thrones is HARD (especially when they keep dying), but this set of retro travel posters will help.
The whimsical nature of the Hobbit etched on a drinking jar = a must have.
If the girl you’re buying for is an extreme closet geek, go for something understated, pretty and which still lets her show some love for HP (the boy wizard, not the sauce).
Know any budding fangirls? Introduce them to the wonders of Star Trek with this plush Spock.
This. Is. Amazing.
I’m still waiting for my owl from Hogwarts (it just got lost alright?!) but with this notebook you can totally just imagine going to spell classes instead.
Everyone has a different favourite Doctor, but luckily these prints are available for them all. (No. 11 is mine).
Yeah, science! Inspire great things with this nerdy notebook.
Sadly this will always be true for closet geeks. Might as well embrace it.
