We’ve collaborated with Essentials magazine this Christmas and, as part of their bumper December issue, you’ll find a handy wall planner, designed by Etsy UK seller Freya Art (worth £15) so you can plan out your 2015 in style. Not only that, but the mag is crammed with loads of recipes and craft projects AND comes with free Christmas cookie cutters,  plus a 20% discount code to use in selected Etsy stores, yay!

The Essentials team couldn’t resist sharing their favourite festive picks from Etsy – find out what’s really on a glossy mag team’s wish list below…

Shannon Kovacs, Social Media Editor

“I am a sucker for magical, glittery objects and snow globes are no exception. This vintage-esque snow globe instantly transports me back to being a kid and shaking various globes we had around the house furiously, to then sit in a trance and watch the snow fall around miniature Christmas villages. This pretty snowman globe would make a great feature decoration right on top of my fireplace.”

“To say I am obsessed with fairy lights would be an understatement. They instantly make the blandest of rooms cosy and there’s just something so pretty about them. These gorgeous ballstring lights would look amazing wound down the staircase or draped across the fireplace. Best of all, they can be used all year. Besides, fairy lights don’t have an expiry date and last EVERY season.”

 Anna Matheson, Editorial Assistant

“This year I’m hoping for some jewellery under my Christmas tree! This beautiful snowflake necklace will look lovely with an LBD on New Year’s Eve.”

“When the weather turns chilly over Christmas I’ll be pulling on one of these lovely knitted alpaca and sheep wool hats. I love the colour and it will go well with my dark hair!”

“I love a good cup of tea, so a candle in a vintage china cup is just the thing for me. I’ll be picking one up for my sister-in-law (and myself!) this year, it will make lovely present.”

Eleanor Jones, Acting Lifestyle Writer

“As someone who is obsessed with all dogs stout and smushy-of-face, this is definitely the paper I want to see under my tree this year. If I can’t have an actual pug with a bow on his little head (hint, hint, Santa!) then this is the next best thing…”

“Chocolate advent calendars are all well and good, but who says a girl can’t have two? This cute tea advent calendar will look great hanging on my shelves and means that I’ll always have a cuppa to hand to de-stress after a long, hard day of Christmas shopping.”

 Hayley Camis, Senior Marketing Executive

“Our beloved fairy that sits on top of our Christmas tree is getting a little old, and after thinking she was irreplaceable I completely fell in love with this beautiful Angel Tree Topper by MilkTea. Each Angel is handmade and customisable so you can pick hair colour, skin colour and dress so she looks like one of the family. It will make such a special gift for my Mum from my brother and I so she can use it every year and think of us!”

“Is there anything better than a personalised Santa sack? My favourite childhood Christmas memory is waking up in the morning and seeing a sack with my name on it by the fireplace. Despite being an adult, I’ll be definitely getting one of these hessian sacks from silverbobbin for my boyfriend this year – no one is too old for a little Christmas magic!”

Joanne Crawford, Picture Editor

“Just the perfect amount of sparkle to wear on Christmas day, this glittery heart shaped necklace made of wood ticks all the boxes for me this year.”

“After 2 years of not being able to fit a Christmas tree in our flat, I’m determined that this year I’m going to make the most of every other decoration I can get my hands on. I love this Kraft reindeer garland and fully expect it to adorn every blank bit of wall I have!
