It’s finally here! After all the hard work from the Etsy artist exhibitors, last night we opened the doors of 5th Base Gallery to family & friends and partners & press for the Private View of Etsy’s first UK art exhibition. OPEN is now (ahem) open to the public for the weekend from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th.
5th Base packed out to celebrate the launch of OPEN. The exhibiting artists finally saw all their hard work displayed in the gallery, and got a chance to meet each other too. Espresso martinis and Tom Collins cocktails were served from the back of a London taxi by the very cool Black Cab Coffee Company.
Fun was had with our Art Tombola; a lucky dip of limited edition prints from each of our exhibiting artists for £10 a go, with one lovely lady coming back three times to make sure that she got the print that she loved the most! If you come along to the exhibition, make sure you have a go and see which one you’ll win.
As part of the celebration of OPEN, and the fantastic array of art available on Etsy, we created a mural wall for people to add their own art to, which went down a storm, and even better once the cocktails had begun to flow. The mural will be open to everyone over the weekend, so come along and let your creative flair shine by adding your art to our wall.
We were absolutely thrilled with the turn out, and would like to say a quick thank you to everyone that came, to all the artists who exhibited, and everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. Follow a#EtsyArt to keep up with all the action!
