Triumph launches ‘Women in Making’ 2014 campaign

Calling all innovators, inventors, creators, fabricators and producers! Triumph wants to help you take the next step with your business.  The recently launched ‘Women in Making’ campaign will be championing women in creative businesses in a celebration of true craftsmanship and expertise.

Women from varied creative aspirations are invited to showcase their inspirational business ideas via the website. Creating their own social profile, this platform will enable them to give examples of their work and proposed business plans, and will allow the public to vote on their favourite business idea, with 10 finalists, one of which will be the person who receives the highest public votes. They’ll then all be judged by the inspirational ‘Makers’ panel: noted fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic; accessories designer & winner of the British Fashion Council’s new generation award Sophia Webster; founder of Nails Inc. Thea Green, and Fenwick Bond Street’s Womenswear & Lingerie Buying Manager Georgina Coulter, alongside the Autumn/Winter 2013 Supporting Women in Making winner Lizzie McQuade.

The ‘Women In Making’ winner will be awarded a £10,000 bursary sum aimed to help them financially support their business, couple with a year’s mentoring from the influential ‘Makers’ panel, plus the opportunity to have their product in the Fenwick Bond St store. If that wasn’t enough, each entrant will be eligible for a free Etsy store with 20 product listings!

As well as acting as mentors, the ‘Makers’ panel will be hosting a series of events within Maison Triumph, a pop-up experiential brand space in Seven Dials, London.  There will also be several Etsy-led workshops and talks planned over April and May.
