Three British Etsy sellers will be running workshops at one of our very favourite retailers, Liberty, as part of their 10 day ‘Get Creative’ extravaganza taking place this week.

One of London’s most iconic stores, Liberty, is set to become a creative hub of design activity this week, with a ten day Get Creative event which will see three talented Etsy sellers running public workshops on Saturday November 2nd.

“At Liberty our buyers do their best to source the best in design, craftsmanship and innovation.
This season we wanted our customers to be part of the magic and Get Creative” says Liberty Managing Director, Ed Burstell. From bespoke products to personal appearances by some of Liberty’s best loved designers, there’s something for everyone in the Get Creative calendar, which kicked off on Thursday October 24th and runs until Saturday November 2nd.

Etsy seller Lilli Wicks of Article Apparel will be running a workshop entitled ‘Pom Pom Party’ – she’ll be showing you how to make woolly pom poms to adorn anything from bobble hats to jewellery or even Christmas decorations. Says Lilli, “Making, creating and embellishing are so much a part of me that I can’t remember when it all started, it’s just who I am and what I do!”

Sarah Fordham of Magasin will be helping visitors create their very own cross-stitch badge. Best known for her over-sized cross-stitch badges, Sarah’s witty designs have been spotted on celebs like DJ and presenter Fearne Cotton.

The third workshop will be run by Gemma Gilleard of Gx2homegrown whose origami skills have been tested in creating an exclusive origami dove greeting card design especially for the Liberty workshop. Gemma assures us, “although origami can seem daunting, with a few key terms and some practice you’ll be well on your way!”
