I’m Hania. I live in Wroc?aw, Poland, and design handbags for my shop, Moose Design.
I studied architecture and graduated from school in 2010. After a few years of working in various architecture offices, I decided to make a change. I’ve loved to sew, embroider, and draw since childhood, but in architecture creation is only a small part of the process. I always have fun when I create, so with that in mind I quit my job and started designing handbags.
I always try to make something unique, original, and well crafted. Authorship and craftsmanship are very important to me. When I was working in architecture, I learned to appreciate accuracy. This ability helps me when I work on my handbags.
I’m a seamstress, designer, and manager all in one, so my day is a bit crazy and chaotic. I answer e-mails, order materials, and (of course) sew and design handbags. My home is also my workshop, so on a typical day I wake up, walk out of my room, turn left, and I’m at work! It’s nice to be able to work in sweats, but sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed since I don’t have to rush to an office.
Owning my own creative business has changed me as a person – I believe in myself more than ever. I now have my dream job, which comes with endless possibilities. What I like about Etsy is that it gives me the opportunity to show my products to people around the world. It’s an awesome experience and a great feeling to know that someone in another part of the world is carrying my handbag. That brings me great joy.
