Android users can now use Android Pay to check out in the Etsy app.

Starting today, buyers using the Etsy app* on Android phones and tablets will have an easy new way to check out: Android Pay. We’re always looking at ways to make the checkout experience as seamless as possible, especially for shoppers on mobile devices. Android Pay makes it easy for buyers to check out by eliminating the need to enter card details when using the Etsy app: buyers just use a fingerprint or enter a PIN, password or pattern to authorize a transaction. Users’ card information stays secure, and all card benefits from purchases (like points or miles) stay the same. In order to take advantage of this new checkout option, buyers must have the Android Pay app installed on their device and have a supported card added to their wallet in the app. Etsy sellers already accepting payments through Direct Checkout will automatically be able to accept payments through Android Pay from eligible buyers. Some people will begin seeing Android Pay as an option today and we’ll be ramping up to all eligible buyers over the coming weeks.
