Apple Pay makes it easier to check out on iPhone and iPad.

Update: Apple Pay is now available to US and UK buyers using the Etsy App on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3. The implementation of Apple Pay is a step forward in our work to make purchasing on Etsy easier on smartphones and tablets and we will continue to improve payment options across all platforms. Below is the original blog post that was published on March 9. More and more Etsy buyers are using Etsy’s mobile apps every day to browse unique items, mark their favorites and complete purchases — today more than 50% of visits comes from mobile devices. Coming soon, Etsy will offer Apple Pay to US buyers using iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3. Apple Pay makes paying with iOS devices easier, more secure, and more private than ever before. Etsy app users will be able to make purchases with a single touch with Apple Pay and placing their finger on Touch ID while checking out. Sellers who already accept Direct Checkout, currently available in 22 countries, will automatically be eligible to receive payments via Apple Pay from US buyers. ApplePay_email_image_600x400 Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code, instead of using the security code from the back of your card. We continue to actively seek feedback from our community and will be rolling out more improvements that support Etsy buyers and Etsy sellers in the evolving landscape of payments. Learn more here.
