Welcome spring with blooming creativity! Dive into a DIY project at April’s Meet and Make events, with a growing line-up of locations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. This month we welcome Craft Lab in San Francisco as our newest addition to the Meet and Make roster. Following this launch, Craft Lab will be hosted the first Thursday of each month at the Museum of Craft and Design. Come show them your support and help kick off their first ever Meet and Make event!
Craft Lab in San Francisco: Mini Mobiles
You’re invited to the first ever Craft Lab in San Francisco! Jen Johnson from Mama’s Magic Studio and the SF Etsy Team will demonstrate how to make a wrapped wire fish mobile to take home, drawing inspiration from the current exhibition on view. While you’re at the museum, be sure to see artist Arline Fisch’s installation Creatures from the Deep, featuring larger-than-life jellyfish woven from knitted and crocheted copper wire. Craft wire and tools will be on hand, and you can bring beads and other items to embellish your own mobile. The admission is $10, or $5 if you’re a Museum member, and includes supplies, instruction, and adult beverages provided by sponsor, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers.
Bonus: In honor of this fine launch, the first 50 people through the door receive a free silkscreened Etsy tote bag!
