Members of Etsy Teams are banding together to create a solid support foundation for their busiest time of the year. Local teams are bringing Etsy to their hometowns by developing group craft shows and community projects. Online teams are establishing a presence with new and innovative methods to promote and support one another. Etsy is proud to award the following outstanding teams with funding towards their upcoming projects.

Throughout 2012, the BrisStyle Team will offer I Heart Craft: Creative Development Sessions, a series of free workshops which focus on different aspects of creative entrepreneurship — from business planning and pricing to social networking.

Music City Makers are making a name for themselves in Nashville, Tennessee, by producing their second juried craft show. The Porter Flea: Handmade Holiday Market will be held December 3, 2011 at the East Park Community Center. Can’t make it to Nashville? Shop from their vendors online!

December 3 is a big day for two other grant recipients: The Strawberry Swing Indie Craft Fair will bring holiday spirit to Kansas City and the Inland Northwest Team will host their Handmade Holiday Trunk Show in Spokane.

The San Diego Crafters for the Arts will participate in a fall community event benefitting the San Diego Language Academy’s music program on November 5.

The Buzzing Beaders are purchasing supplies for their “Bead Soup,” an activity created to stimulate creativity and productivity in team members. The Boston Handmade team will be purchasing a group advertisement to spread the word about their artisans to fellow Bostonians. The LAWST (Loud and Wacky Street Team) is creating some fun buttons and promotional materials for their members to give out to customers.

Etsy Team Grants are awarded on a monthly basis to provide creative, energetic and dedicated teams with financial assistance. The money can be used to subsidize team advertising, fund participation in events, host promotions or as a meeting stipend. Our goal is to have teams be successful and spread the Etsy love. We want to hear your exciting ideas and then help you make them happen! Read more about the Team Grants Program or fill out an application.
