Before I jump into introducing the most recent Team Grant recipients, I wanted to share this video made by recent grant alums, the Toronto Etsy Street team. They were awarded funding back in February to help cover the cost of staging their first ever team craft show. Pam of lurearts and her husband and videographer Nial McFadyen put this short movie together to showcase the exhibitors. Pretty impressive stuff!
And now, on to our most recent crop of winners. The Seattle-based EtsyRain team is using their team grant to help sponsor their Spring Handmade Craft show, which took place on May 7, 2011. The Made on the Left team is taking out an advertisement in a Perth-based weekly magazine to publicize their biggest market of the year, which has been happening annually since 2008. Handmade Miami is working hard to finalize all the details for their first ever craft show, scheduled for November 5, 2011. The Wisconsin Craft Fair Explorers are traveling as a team to vend at a nearby fair. PDX Etsy will be funding a year-end event where they will be networking to Portland Etsians about monthly meetups and the future structure of the team. Eco Etsy is buying supplies for their first ever meetup, happening at the Etsy Labs in June!

Etsy Team Grants are awarded on a monthly basis to provide creative, energetic and dedicated teams with financial assistance. The money can be used to subsidize team advertising, fund participation in events, host promotions or as a meeting stipend. Our goal is to have teams be successful and spread the Etsy love. We want to hear your exciting ideas and then help you make them happen! Read more about the Team Grants Program or fill out an application.
This month’s grant applications are due on or before June 15, 2011!
