Calling All RISD Alumni and Students: Join the Etsy Team

Jan 27, 2011

by Vanessa Bertozzi

Rhode Island School of Design, nestled on College Hill in Providence, RI, has long been considered one of the top art schools in the world. Yesterday, while presenting at a panel on campus with Kickstarter and Quirky, I announced that Etsy is kicking off our first official alum and student team. We’re so excited to be collaborating with RISD to gather students and alumni who are Etsy members. Whether you’re a seller or a shopper, as long as you are a RISD alum or a currently enrolled student, you’re welcome to join this group.

Apply here.
Christina Hartley of the alumni relations department is leading the team.

We’re reaching out to other schools and hope to foster these micro-communities on Etsy. Please comment below if you’d like your school to be involved.

Ooooh... Start one for the California College of Art! I wonder why ArtisShit was denied though... because they have the SH** word in their name? Etsy should be more clear about these things... and tell you WHY you're being turned down (so you can change your name (or not), improve your stock, take better pics, whatevs...). It's a nicely curated shop Etsy... kinda unimpressed.
