Calling all inventors, daydreamers, tinkerers, mad scientists, designers, crafters, and makers! Yes, you with the glue gun, and you with the welding torch, I’m talking to you. I invite you to strut your stuff and share your best how-to project ideas with the world in the ReadyMade 100 Contest, which I have the great honor of participating in as part of the panel of judges!
From now through December 15, 2010, entries will be open for the ReadyMade 100 Contest. You — any of you in the world, whether or not you submit a project tutorial — get to vote on the projects you like while the contest is open. From there, it will be the task of the panel of eight judges (myself included) to select our favorite submissions. We’ll narrow the field down to one Main Maker, who will be awarded $500 and a three-night stay in New York City, which will include one night at a ReadyMade 100 party in his or her honor. The Main Maker’s winning project will also be featured on the cover of the April/May issue of ReadyMade magazine. The next DIY champion could be you!
So open that sketchbook, start scheming your entry, and pop on over to ReadyMade to cast your vote!
