MAKE-ing Out like a Bandit at the Bazaar Bizarre

Etsy traveled to the West Coast for a weekend of intense handmadeness. We went to attend the Bazaar Bizarre which is the market part of the larger Maker Faire, a MAKE Magazine event which attracted about 45,000 people. We met many a maker of handmade things — everything from crazy robotic inventions to faux toadstools. The Maker Faire is part circus, part mad inventor convention. If you’re a fan of DIY ingenuity, we highly recommend going to next year’s in San Mateo or the Austin based fair. In addition to San Mateo, the Bazaar Bizarre also holds court in San Francisco, Boston, LA, and Cleveland.

We were glad to meet a number of Etsy sellers, selling their wares and basking in the enthusiasm of the crowd. Check out the video we’ve uploaded from Day 1 (Day 2 coming soon!) to see who we met:

I loved Make Magazine on PBS in Minnesota. Where is it these days?I love finding new ways to use stuff to make other stuff.
