Curator Stephanie Tran is a multi-disciplined creative and a long-time contributor to Dossier, a Brooklyn-based collective which publishes biannual arts and fashion journal Dossier Journal and curates cultural events. She’s joined curator, photographer, creative director, and co-founder of Dossier Skye Parrott to host this month’s Etsy x Dossier pop-up boutique.
For the last two and a half weeks, we’ve had such a great experience hosting the Etsy x Dossier pop-up shop here in New York City. Being able to curate the things we personally like from the site — not just from a retail standpoint, but also from an emotional point of view — was terrific. And we’ve loved learning in real time what’s clicking with buyers and sharing that knowledge with Etsy Wholesale sellers at our VIP event last Friday.
By all accounts, our visitors have been just as excited about the whole thing as we are: our three DIY workshops all sold out quickly and items from the featured Etsy sellers are flying off the shelves. We had to order a second batch of Caru Skincare Co’s products the very first week, and Fail’s delicate oxidized-silver jewelry, White Nest‘s romantic message prints, and Solid Manufacturing Co’s simple and elegant leather goods have also been crowd favorites.
If you’re in New York, be sure to stop by the Etsy x Dossier pop-up to see these wonderful handmade goods in person — we’ll be here every day until September 28. And for our friends around the world who can’t make it, we’ve collected products from the 30 participating makers in the galleries below. Scroll down and start shopping!
