Over the years, we’ve all discovered an Etsy shop or two that has made a lasting impression on us. They’re our go-to artists for signature statement jewelry, our first stop for fabulous vintage finds, our personalized gift gurus—and the products of their hard work have brightened and enriched our everyday lives. “Etsy sellers are some of the most talented and creative people in the world,” says Etsy Trend Expert Dayna Isom Johnson. “Now more than ever, it’s important to uplift and support their businesses, and show them some extra love.”
Learn more about the Etsy Design Awards
That’s why today, we’re excited to announce the launch of the second-annual Etsy Design Awards (affectionately known as The Etsies)—our awards program recognizing the most brilliantly designed, wonderfully one-of-a-kind Etsy items from around the globe. And this year, we’re asking for your help.
These standout designs took home awards last year—and we can’t wait to see 2020’s contenders.

We’re inviting you—our devoted Etsy community—to nominate a favorite seller whose work you find inspiring and award-worthy. Simply fill out a short nomination form by July 1, and we’ll contact the seller to pass along the praise and encourage them to enter an item into our competition. As a thank you for your recommendation, you’ll automatically be entered to win one of ten $1,000 Etsy gift cards*.
“Last year, I was amazed by the caliber and breadth of the entries—and our finalist group was a gold mine of unique items,” says Dayna, who’ll be returning as a judge for this year’s Etsies. “I think we’re going to see even more sellers taking their creativity to the next level.”
Dayna isn’t the only eagle-eyed Etsy shopper on our judging panel this year. Joining her is another self-professed superfan from our community: acclaimed actress, entrepreneur, and producer Drew Barrymore, who earlier this year declared her love for our sellers.

“All of these incredible independent sellers, from all over the world, create the most amazing items, and with such heart and passion,” says Drew. “I’m so happy to be able to honor this incredibly talented group of entrepreneurs.”
Be sure to check back in September to discover our 100 finalists and participate in our first-ever People’s Choice Award vote, with a prize valued at $5,000. Winners will be announced in October along with one $15,000 Grand Prize Winner and ten $1,000 Category Winners. Let the search for special begin!

I select Lorelie Kay Designs for an etsy. She is a great seller. All items are wrapped very well and are shipped very quickly. She constantly putting inspiring photos or messages out, and we also get a peek at what age is working on. She is the best seller I have run in to

I support Karen Viola of ClimbingTreePress for her artistically unique perspective and stimulating not only our minds but our physical senses, as well. Her skillfully handcrafted books are pure ‘eye candy’, highly tactile, and we are drawn into the words, worlds and meanings as we interpret her Artwork. I purchased both of her books, became an immediate fan and urged her to produce more. Appropriate for the ages of 9-95. Karen is highly responsive to all queries and ships well and expediently. Thanks for hearing me.

I nominate HilandMountainArt. Loni uses beautiful stones for her jewelry that can help to support energy and improve your mood. The jewelry always comes with a sweet note and packaged in small bags made by women from Fair Trade organizations.

Thanks to Etsy for this opportunity to prove myself. I really hope that the time will come, and my store will also be worthy of good reviews.
