Every time a new year starts, I begin thinking about spring and weddings. I usually stick to doing wedding flowers, but I love to get involved in other DIY-aspects of weddings.
This wedding seating chart is made in four easy steps, so even if you’re not a DIY person, you can still tackle this project. I used mirrored frames, champagne-colored satin ribbon, and gold herringbone paper because my style is neutral and slightly glam, but there are a lot of fun ways to customize this seating chart to fit your theme and color palette.
You Will Need:
Large frames
Ribbon
Double-stick tape
Heavy-duty packing tape
2″ x 2″ labels
Patterned paper
Scissors
Pen
Note: You will also need a finalized seating chart for all of your guests.

Step one: Remove glass, matting and the backing of the frame.

Step two: Cut your ribbon to fit the width of the frame’s interior, adding a little extra at each end. Use strong packing tape to fix the ribbon to both sides of the frame.

Step Three: Create custom cards by sticking 2″ x 2″ labels to some patterned paper. Cut around the label equally on all sides to make a patterned border. Add your guests’ names and table number with a pen.

Step Four: Arrange the seating cards in alphabetical order and stick them to the ribbon using double-stick tape.

How will you customize this project to fit your wedding theme?

So classy and elegant! And the best part is having beautiful frames to use after the wedding. Great idea.

I love this project. So simple and elegant. Believe it or not, I have never been to a wedding with a seating chart but I will definitely be having one at my wedding. It's wonderful to think of what combinations of people would make for a great table conversation!!

What a sweet idea. And fun! We didn't have a seating chart at our wedding (I can't imagine trying to control that chaos), but this is a really great idea for those that want one.

Great idea. It could also work for a baby shower. Have the guests put a baby names on the card for the mother to be, frame it as a keepsake.

My daughter is getting married next year. She's already decided to use long thin tables. I think the framed seating chart, using the ribbon as the tables and the names, Then they know where to find there name card at the table.
