Last-Minute Halloween: The Lumberjack

Oct 25, 2010

by Chappell Ellison handmade and vintage goods

There’s nothing more difficult than persuading the man in your life to dress up for Halloween. So why not make it easy on him? Inspire him to dress up as the manliest of men — the lumberjack. The costume pieces are simple, and he won’t be nearly as embarrassed as the other costume ideas you had in mind (you know like, Prince Charming, Romeo, or Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino). Bonus points: Convincing him to randomly disrupt the party by yelling out “TIMBER-R-R!”

Custom Adult Beard Beanie

From browneyedgirl1489, $28.

Men’s Plaid Flannel Shirt

From beesquaredb, $65.

Thick Green Trousers

By BetaPorHomme, $66.

Z Boots

From needlefeed, $150.

Vintage Red Suspenders

From JaanasVintage, $10.95.

Fun idea! We're screenprinting a honeycomb print shirt for my husband, and the rest of us are going to be bumble bees. So he gets to get away with wearing a t-shirt and jeans again ha.

A shadow of a guy with axe was passing by a boyfriend has good eyesights, he said it was an axe, for sure. Then we wondered what did he do?? It was a mystery. Maybe he was just back from a halloween party..I believe so.
