How to Set a Woodsy Holiday Table

Nov 15, 2018

When it comes to setting a holiday table, there’s more than one way to show your festive side. Whether you gravitate toward neon bright trimmings, sparkling celestial motifs, or whimsical woodland decor, adding a touch of personality to your tabletop will let your seasonal spirit shine. Not sure where to begin? To spark your imagination, we’ve composed a simple video tutorial for transforming your table into a storybook winter wonderland filled with enchanting creatures—and we don’t just mean the company.

The key to creating this charming, rustic scene is choosing an eye-catching focal point to build around (wild animal plates will do the trick) and from there, accenting with more neutral, natural materials like leather, linen, and burlap. Top your table off with a few outdoorsy touches, like mountain-shaped placecard holders and birch bark straws, then don your reindeer antlers and forage for some toothsome snacks.

Click play to see how we brought our animal-themed tablescape to life, and stay tuned for more holiday table how-tos.

I plan to use the reclaimed word card stands I bought from SouthardandSawdust to display pictures on the table. I did for a Halloween Party and received nice reviews from my guests. They are gorgeous and spark great conversations.
