So you’ve knitted your toddler a frog suit, transformed your home into a haunted mansion, and rehearsed your shadow puppet performance. Now it’s time to party! This weekend, shock and delight the little monsters in your living room by serving up a tray of delectable gore.
Parenting.com has a slew of recipes for Halloween-friendly snacks. Check out the Slimy Jell-O Treats and Fruity Ghoul’s Brew below, or explore the whole slideshow here.
Slimy Jell-O Treats
1. Prepare a package of lime or apple Jell-O as directed and divide among 8-ounce mason jars or clear bowls, filling only halfway; refrigerate them until firm.
2. Prepare another Jell-O flavor, such as cherry, berry-blue, or grape. While Jell-O is cooking, place three gummy worms on top of set gelatin and let another hang over the lip. Pour second flavor over the worms, filling to the top; refrigerate.
Fruity Ghoul’s Brew
1. Put 1 maraschino cherry in each section of an ice-cube tray, then fill with cran-raspberry juice. Add 2 drops red food coloring to each section, and freeze.
2. Mix 2 parts orange juice and 1 part ginger ale in a pitcher, and set aside. To create blood, add red food coloring to some corn syrup.
3. When ready to serve, dip the rim of each glass into the syrup, and allow it to drip down the sides. Fill with punch mixture and add 2 maraschino ice cubes.

yum! I think the Fruity Ghoul's Brew would make a great cocktail for guests, dont you? Just add a shot of vodka! My SIL makes something really cool. She puts a head of cauliflower in a clear bowl of red food-colored water, and sticks a butcher knife in it. It looks just like a brain soaking in blood. A great centerpiece for your halloween goodies table, not edible though.

Wow what a wonderful idea. It is almost the end of September and only a few weeks until Halloween which is crazy! Time is flying by so fast. I was just made class-mom for my daughters kindergarten class so I have been trying to look up cute ideas for the Halloween party. These look so great I cannot wait to make them for the kids. I love Dessert Recipes like this that I know the kids will be so excited about. I work with Better Recipes so I am always reviewing recipes but I love creative ones like this the most!

Parents spy on children via mobile phones. The concern for the safety of their children has created for parents in the U.S. a new trend. Programs such as Myspy-online record then guided through the mobile phone Internet communication of young people and make them accessible via a special web page for parents. This look into the possibility of technical aids effective protection to protect their children from threats such as sexual harassment or inappropriate web content. www.myspy-online.com
