March is here and everyone is going green. While we’re still loving shades of mint and emerald, our favorite hue is anything eco-friendly. From invitations to gowns to table numbers, it’s easier than you think to go natural.
Organic doesn’t have to mean ordinary. Eco-friendly invites have texture and personality, and are just as well-suited for modern brides as they are for rustic affairs. Think outside the (100% recycled) box and incorporate paper flowers made from the pages of your favorite books, or escort tags made from maps showing your favorite locations.
Take the natural look to the next level with untreated, wooden chandeliers or a laser-cut guest book. Cozy up your tables by bringing nature inside. Dress up raw pine slices with chalkboard paint for individual table numbers, or cut them in half for stand-alone place settings.
Send your guests home with favors they can use again. Think pretty vegan soaps with custom wrappers, a favorite coffee or loose-leaf tea, or birdseed ornaments. Not doing favors? Consider printing escort cards on plant-able paper for an instant gift.
Look for organic and sustainable fabrics when dressing yourself and your wedding party. Hemp, bamboo, linen, and organic cottons and wool are all comfortable and stylish options that you’ll want to wear again. Carry the trend over into your welcome bags, ring pillow, and even bridesmaid bathrobes.
How are you going green?
