We’ve always been inspired by those crafters who take the plunge to create full time! When we saw many of these brave crafters come together to form their own Team, The Full Time Etsy Crafters, we wanted to support them and show the rest of Etsy how they are helping each other. Sharing business tips, woes and advice is one of the many perks of being on an Etsy Team! If you are interested in joining up with like-minded artists, have a peek at all the Teams and you just might find a new community!
muyinmolly started this Team after her own Quit Your Day Job article.
“I established this Team hoping to provide a place for experienced and
successful full time Etsy sellers to exchange ideas. I had been very
active in the Etsy forum since I
started. As my business grew, I noticed that I couldn’t find resources
for starting a full time Etsy business. I knew there were more like me
looking for social connections with other full time crafters. I love
how the members are full of positive energy. ”
dennisanderson says about his Team, “Being self employed, I find it’s always great to get others’ perspectives, as it gives us a chance to look at things a little differently!” Have a look at Dennis’ Quit Your Day Job article here!
FearlessFibers says of her Team, “Whether I’m looking for someone to talk to about a marketing idea or
strategies to thrive in a rough economy, or just looking for an ear
from someone who is living through similar ups and downs of building a
small business, it’s nice to know I’m not alone. Although I love every
minute of what I do there are times when I feel quite isolated, working
long hours on my own with little human interaction beyond customer
communications. It’s just nice to have a place to go to connect with
others in a similar situation.”
kittycrossbones AnyLynn, the artist behind this shop, says, “The team is a collective group of great artisans able
to make a living off of our craft/hobby and on Etsy. We love to share ideas on
how to improve and get the word out about Etsy and our group.” See her Quit Your Day Job article here!
MewPaperArts loves the help she can get from her Teammates. “It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the minute details of running a
business — having a whole group of Etsians at all levels of their
business is an ideal resource. Here you can get business tips on
starting up, growing up and keeping things running smoothly.” See her Quit Your Day Job article.
“I love the forum that Molly set up; it’s great to see what other
people are doing and sharing our struggles, ideas and inspirations,” says Mike from mudpuppy (who is all over Etsy right now!).
nicholasandfelice are excited about the future for their Team! “We’ve been full time crafters for over 20 years and it’s great to have
others who are in it for the long haul to share our experiences with
and learn from. There’s a camaraderie amongst those of us who do this
full time for a living. Since we don’t actually have coworkers
(besides our business partners) to talk to about the job, it’s great to
feel like you have others out there in the same business who can relate.”
time2cre8 has had over 3,500 sales! We think she has amazing talent — look at the fine beadwork in her pieces!
