Tell us a bit about yourself (name, location, affiliations, personal stuff).

my name is mandy lamb, sometimes my name is cleveland.

I live on a bridge in boston.

I affiliate with troublemakers.

I have a bad dog named bird who is a biter.

my cat monster has behavioral problems involving urine.

my husband is very well behaved.

What is the first thing you can remember making by hand? How and why did you make it?

my brother and I would make bows & arrows from the trees in our apple orchard. I think this was because we weren’t allowed to have toy guns and we had a strong desire to shoot things.

What inspires you? Where do your ideas come from?

skullknockers are inspired by the monster dolls that were produced as a promotional item for Naugahyde in the 60’s. Uncle Lenny gave me one for my second birthday. I was scared of it for years.

Dear Naugahyde,

Please don’t send me a cease and desist letter.

Although I am inspired by you, I am not copying you.

I love and respect you.

Any tips on selling handmade stuff?

I think I’m too green to be dolling out advice.

Apart from creating things, what do you do?

I try to leave the house as little as possible.

10am. wake up & cuddle the bad dog

10.5am. coffee & npr

11am. walk dog

11.5am. take polaroids crouching behind plants

12-3pm. watch inferior television while sewing

3pm. welcome husband home from work

3.5-7pm. neglect husband in favor of skullknockers

7pm. make food

8pm. dine with friend & husband

3am. crawl into bed if animals and husband have left room

If I could cause blizzards and thunderstorms I would do that all the time.

How can Etsy be improved? Any feature requests?

I don’t have all the answers, but I’d like to see more boys around here.
