This season, make every gathering a memorable occasion with a little handmade creativity. Eight Etsy sellers teamed up with Whole Foods Market to create a series of DIY craft tutorials aimed to make your holiday entertaining a bit sweeter. Chiara Alberetti Milott is a crafter, stylist, lover of parties, pretty things and, of course, pretty parties. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two boys.
Need a quick, easy way to dress up your holiday table? These simple flowers, made out of two items from the grocery store, can be created in about 5 minutes. Add a name tag to let your guests know where to sit, and raise a glass together!

You will need:
Scissors
Roll of unbleached parchment paper
Baker’s twine
Green card stock
Hole punch
White pen

Step 1: Cut a 5″ x 15″ strip of parchment. Create an accordion fold, lengthwise, with 1/2″ folds.

Step 2: Holding paper still folded; trim the edges of each side in a pointed shape.

Step 3: Unfold the paper and gently pinch the middle of the paper with your fingertips, while gently fluffing and manipulating the layers of parchment open.

Step 4: Tie the middle tightly with string (leaving enough string to encircle a rolled up napkin).

Step 5: Hold flower at knot and fluff petals again. Cut a leaf shape out of green card stock, punch a hole, and write a name on it.

Tie the flower and the name tag around a rolled napkin.
