Mark your calendars! Next week we’re mixing things up a little in Craft Night land. While Monday’s regular craft time is cancelled for Columbus Day, on Tuesday, October 11, the Brooklyn Art Library, home of The Sketchbook Project, will be hosting us for a special Craft Night at their charming space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
We’ve teamed up with them to offer a special workshop on image transfer techniques and tips. We’ll learn how to take images from a variety of sources and transfer them to paper, fabric or your sketchbook — experiment with size, texture, and the destination medium to create compelling compositions. The Brooklyn Art Library’s resident printmaker, Caitlin, will be on hand to guide the workshop and answer your questions!
Curious about the potential applications of image transfers? Just check out their Tip Jar blog post.
