The new Etsy Labs is alive with the sound of meeting and making! During the past week visitors to the Etsy Labs made stenciled cards with Ed Roth for the Special Delivery Project, sewed sock monkeys in support of Fresh Art, and shared business advice at the Etsy Success Symposium. Check out photos from all of these events on Facebook and Flickr, and clear out a spot on your calendar to join us at the Etsy Labs online or in person!
The next Craft Night on the roster falls on Valentine’s Day, and rather than choosing one or the other, I invite you to join us for an evening of painting glass heart-shaped ornaments. Who knows, maybe we’ll even have sing-alongs to “Heart of Glass” by Blondie or “Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones, depending on the mood of this valentine crowd. We’ll be doing some glassware decoration that centers around taking a plain clear, heart-shaped glass ornament and making it personal, special, creative and fun by using doodling, drawing, painting, and other experiments to make something special and unique. These tips are also spelled out step-by-step in these How-Tuesday posts. Feel free to bring snacks to share and help us make this a little Valentine’s Day party!
Ornaments and glass paint were generously donated by Pebeo.
