◎[▪‿▪]◎ These remind me of a macrame hanging in my grandmother's farm house that was beautiful and handmade by a Choctaw relative. Awesome post!

I say buy. I am looking for a beaded tassel in a two tone look and am such a perfectionist that I think I am better off looking until I find just what I am searching for. Now when I design for someone else my perfectionism comes into play wonderfully! Everyone of my faithful clients knows that their one of a kind piece will be made to the best of my ability. Cynthia

These are beautiful but I would buy from someone who would make them. I prefer making soaps! Perhaps, one day I will want to do a switcheroo, but no time

Love it! I remember my aunt making this kind of stuff back in the 70s. She made my mom an orange macrame hanging basket. I remember it hanging in the front window with a fern in it.

I forsee... • an exponential expansion in materials used to DIY: raffia, palm fibers, thin decorative rope, dyed sisal twine, silky ribbon, delicate jewelry chain yardage, more "fabric yarns," dried grass (think hula skirts), more types of papers, some sort of plastic cording/filament...I could go on... • individual tassels made with 2 or 3 yarn colors: 1 main color + 1-2 accent color(s) • the addition of long feathers, with the 'quill' ends threaded through large wooden beads, secured with glue on the inside of the large beads, and hanging downward in bunches (like how a dried flower bouquet is hung, sort of...) to complement the tassels • trims, embroidered ribbon...possibly even frayed shabby fabric strips tied into bows...wrapped around the "necks" of tassels • adjustable, inexpensive rings (jewelry) clamped around tassel necks • the addition of jewelry components to tassels- and to the hanging twine/yarn- large-ish translucent crystal beads, metal spacers, ombre color gradient-designed seed bead tassels, charms • whatever people manage to "upcycle" to create, or embellish, tassel hangings...I'm foreseeing...straws... • seasonal color themes & textures (get ready for tinsel tassels) • Wire. Wrapped. Tassel. Necks. • "hand-dipped dyed tassels" • embroidery floss crocheted into 'yarn' and used to make tassels • the Tassel Bunting: evenly sized, even-length, colors coordinated tassels with indivual letters at the tops and/or necks, in a clean preppy-style font, probably made from fabric/ribbon or stamped metal Remember: you read it here first because I totally called it.
