Jessica is an architect living in Los Angeles, a native Texan, a former New Orleanian, and a lover of a certain color palette. She started her design blog, {Black.White.Yellow.}, as a means to document and share things that inspire her.

If you check out my blog, it’s pretty obvious that I love black, white, and yellow. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Etsy items with you…organized by my favorite colors, of course.

Black

[1. Laboratory bottle set from AMradio; 2. Mid Century Designers pencil set by oneupdesigns; 3. Himmeli no. 5 mobile from AMradio; 4. Wearable planter no. 6 by wearableplanter; 5. Custom hanging lamp kit from EarthSeaWarrior; 6. Mid Century stool from Hindsvik; 7. Black geo earrings by amerrymishap; 8.Paper twine from PaperPhine; 9. Wooden spoons from SucreShop; 10. Triangle day bag by bookhouathome.]

Black always brings the drama. A cluster of black pencils grouped in a piece of vintage lab glass adds impact to the simplest workspace, while a traditional mobile in inky monochrome becomes an airy work of geometric art.

White

[1. Dotty straws from beautifulrevelry; 2. “Marvellous” brooch by rareindeed; 3. “Dancing Triangles” fabric by NewMomDesigns; 4. Pendleton pillow by IndianvsIndian; 5. Timp print envelope clutch by romawinkel; 6. Tiny basket by perchceramics; 7. Teardrop planter by lovebugkiko; 8. Printed leather pouch by CORIUMI; 9. Triangle print tee by JessalinBeutler; 10. Salt and pepper jars by paulova.]

White is clean, cool, and eternally modern. It’s the perfect partner to graphic patterns. Pure white vessels make groupings of spiky green succulents (my favorite plants) really pop.

Yellow

[1. Sparkle and Shine garland by EverlyLaneDesign; 2. Sun pea pod stud earrings by tdesignstore; 3. Leather ballet flats by thewhiteribbon; 4. Super soft tote bag by LunaBluandCo; 5. Moth origami lampshade by nellianna; 6. Neon yellow and wooden bead necklace by oelwein; 7. Slingshot by WoodenSlingshot; 8. Neon yellow circle by nadjamueller; 9. Bauhaus yellow monochrome painting by thecolourstore; 10. Wooden salad bowl by WindandWillowHome.]

Yellow is the magic ingredient that really makes this color palette sing. It adds the perfect jolt of sunshine. Bright works of art in monochromatic shades are a great way to work yellow into a room, while accessories in neon hues give even the simplest ensembles an electric jolt.

What color palettes inspire you?
