A Dude’s Perspective: How to Shop For Your Lady (Part Three)

Charles, aka winenutnyc, is Etsy’s resident business meteorologist. This is the part three of his series on buying for your lady. Check him out on the Etsy Newscast.

So, you’ve bought your lady the necklace that her friends will ask about.

Check.

Spa basket, check. Pillow, check.

Now it’s time to have some fun. Your goal is to up the gift count (without spending a lot of money) while making them laugh.

First, the gift for her that’s really a gift for you! I nailed this category when I bought my Mom the new Journey record for Mother’s Day in 1981. This fire pit will supply warm, romantic fires on the roof, and is the kind of gift that I like, too.

Next, a crowd pleaser; my kids love hotdogs. My wife hates hotdogs. But she loves soap.

…And come back to reality with tickets to a concert or show. Handmade tickets are a bit dicey, so I think I’ll give her tickets wrapped in this, and buy some extra paper for her to use!

Not sure how I would feel about the hot dog soap... funny but weird...the first necklace was a great choice.
