This weekend’s Get the Look Decor is inspired by the beautiful home of Jane Schouten. With her two daughters all grown up and off to college, she lives alone in the small town of Rhenen, 100 km south of Amsterdam. Jane’s home has a cheerful feminine style with colorful flea market accents, floral fabrics and incredible artwork displayed on every surface.

Jane works as a graphic designer and artist. You can find her gorgeous artwork plus handmade and vintage treasures in her Etsy shop, alltheluckintheworld. Stop by her blog for even more decorating inspiration and visit her on Flickr to see many more photos of her vibrant, eclectic home.

Describe your home decorating style.
My home is filled with flea market and thrift shop treasures. I have hardly anything that hasn’t been pre-loved (or hated). I mix secondhand with handmade, by myself or by others. Others have described my style as feminine and eclectic.

Did you decide to decorate in this style or was there an evolution to your decorating process?
It wasn’t really a decision, just the result of my love of flea markets and thrift shops. You never know what you’ll come across. The colors have changed slightly throughout the years, but I’ve always lived like this.

What is your favorite part about your home?
Usually the bedroom, because it’s so lovely and white and peaceful, but at the moment my garden is my favorite place. Everything is starting to grow, and it’s all fresh and green with lots of flowers.

Does your home hold any strong memories?
We moved here from Amsterdam 20 years ago when my daughters were very small. I have very fond memories of them (and myself) growing up here.
