The mother-daughter relationship is universal; it is also singularly unique. Halfway across the world in Bolu, Turkey, fiber artist Sebahat Çetinkaya and her daughter, Ay?egül, push the boundaries of both craft and love, working together to create remarkable statement pieces with a crochet hook, needle, some thread, and beads. “With a needle and fiber, anything can be done,” says Sebahat — including keeping a daughter close.
