You’ve created a shower mamas-to-be dream of. We’ve created three chic themes for a boy, girl and a neutral shower, along with some advice to help you pull off a shower that’s sure to leave a lasting impression.

For this sweet baby boy shower, we took the traditional blue and put a rustic spin on it by using burlap elements and Mason jar floral arrangements. Use burlap as the focal point of the decor with an “It’s A Boy” banner and a reusable table runner. Fluffy (think hydrangeas!) white flowers in yellow Mason jars soften the look, while cute-as-a-button elephant cupcake toppers popped on yellow cupcakes make a sweet statement all their own. Yarn wrapped letters add a personal touch and can be repurposed later in a nursery or playroom. If the baby’s name is a secret, use them to spell out the mama-to-be’s name or “Baby <insert baby’s last name>.”  A fun favor sends guests off with a smile — for this theme, we like pretty blue cake pops.

Reusable decor is a fabulous and environmentally friendly way to infuse style into a shower. A sweet pink and green bunting makes a gorgeous addition to the nursery once the party is over, or can be kept for future fêtes. Choosing a printable invite in preppy stripes is a great way to save money without compromising style. A lovely paper flower garland draped from the backs of the chairs and unique birch bark vessels for the floral centerpieces ups the decor’s wow factor, while some pretty pink, green and white flowers tie the room together. Onesie cookies frosted in pink and white add a touch of whimsy, while perfectly packaged French macaroons are the icing on the cake of this girly and fabulous shower.

Yellow and gray is all the rage these days, and it makes a perfect palette for a neutral baby shower.  A modern chevron invite sets the style. Fill the tables with ceramic bud vases full of flowers for a pop of color — think orange roses, yellow billy balls and white anemones. Layer in handmade elements for unique details: a cake bunting dresses up the most ordinary cake, while paper poms create a perfect backdrop. Chevron frames with baby pictures of the mom- and dad-to-be add a personal touch.  Chevron “monthly” stickers snazz up the traditional onesie clothesline for a great piece of reusable decor that’s a fun (and useful!) gift for the mama-to-be. The chevron “Wishes for Baby” is something the guests, mom and baby will cherish for years to come. Potted succulents double as a chic favor and pretty table decor. Add a simple white label to each, and they perform triple duty as place cards.
