Hey, LA! Get your new year started on the right foot with a hands-on happening at the Craft and Folk Art Museum. Join designer, author, and shining craft star Mark Montano for a blooming envelope-making adventure to add a playful touch to all your mail. (Don’t you have some thank you notes left to write?) The museum’s courtyard will be transformed into a creative hub, and the galleries will be open to curious crafters like yourself. Mark will also be signing copies of his latest book, The Big-Ass Book of Crafts 2. Come by to socialize, craft, and enjoy refreshments under the stars, while pushing the limits of paper. The $5 admission includes materials and snacks. (Free for CAFAM members.) RSVP suggested to email@example.com.
When: Thursday, January 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. PT.
Where: The Craft and Folk Art Museum, 5814 Wilshire Blvd (at Curson), Los Angeles, CA 90048
