Announcing the Hello Etsy! Conference handmade and vintage goods

It’s official! We are pleased to announce that Hello Etsy: A Summit on Small Business and Sustainability will take place not only in Berlin, but also in cities and towns across the U.S. Through a weekend-long series of hands-on gatherings, small business owners will connect with their peers, learn the skills to ?nd success and independence, and be part of the movement to build human-scale economies.

Together with our friends at Etsy Labs, GOOD, the Smithsonian American Art MuseumCalifornia College of the Arts and the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Hello Etsy will expand its reach to New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Portland for the weekend of September 17-18. Click here to purchase tickets and find out more about each partner location.

But it doesn’t stop there! Alongside our five partner locations, hundreds of DIY Summiteers will host their very own Hello Etsy DIY Summit where they live. Anyone can host no matter where they are. Whether it’s a living room or a classroom, a group of ten or five hundred, we think it’s important that the conversation around local, living economies happen in as many different contexts as possible. If you’re interested in hosting Hello Etsy in your city, send us a note here. Besides access to all the great speakers and workshops, everyone who participates in Hello Etsy will have the opportunity to apply for an investment grant from the Hello Etsy Small Business Fund. Grants range in value from $500-$5,000 and will be given to up to five small business owners. In addition to the funds, our friends at Profounder will continue to work with each recipient to raise investment capital from their communities well beyond the conference.

If you can’t make it to any of the events you can still watch Hello Etsy speakers via our Livestream channel, which will broadcast content from Berlin and our partner locations live and will be updated regularly throughout the weekend with archived content. We hope you’ll join us as we embark on our first-ever conference in not one, but six, maybe even 60 cities around the world.

Will you be attending?
