This looks like so much fun! Plus, that would come in handy for making labels and tags. I remember linocutting from middle school - I want to go buy the tools right now. Any excuse to go to the art supply store!

Sweet stuff, I remember using a potato and knife to make a one use stamp in elementary school. . . . also works very well and is cheap as cheap can be.

another way to carve a softer stamp is rubber carving sheet, available in the lino carving aisle at the art store. AND a really cheaper way I use for little ones is the ends or faces of the white rubber erasers. Try them.

yay! I was hoping to make my own stamp instead of having to order one... I've heard of making stamps out of erasers or linolium tiles. I'm going to have to find some things around the house that will suffice! OOoo I love being resourceable! Thanks!

Just came across this via another Storque article. Thanks for taking the time to share this how-to!

I'm laughing out loud; I am preparing to open my etsy shop, and am literally in the middle of making a stamp for packaging my goods. What makes me laugh is that the tools pictured above are almost identical to the tools I am looking at now. I'm living in Valenciennes, which is just near the Belgian border, so that might explain things!
