Wednesday Workshop: Learn to Make an Ipod Cozy with fernfiddlehead handmade and vintage goods

Join us Wednesday, January 30th in the Virtual Labs, specifically the "knitting nook" room, at 12:30pm Eastern sharp for the next Labs Online Workshop!

Cathy of fernfiddlehead has graciously volunteered to host an online video tutorial with webcam demonstrating how to crochet your very own ipod or mp3 player sock cozy!  She will be going through the demonstration step by step.

Ipod Sock supply list: Here’s what you’ll need ahead of time if you’d like to follow along!

  • Crochet hook (size varies with weight of yarn, but I have been using a 3.75mm [ US F/5 hook]). See conversion chart at right side of this page for UK/Canada conversion.
  • Two different color yarns of the same weight and fiber (although I have used cotton and wool in the same sock and it came out fine). Tip: I’ve been using primarily cotton in my socks.
  • The mp3 player (or measurements for it) that you are covering.
  • Scissors.

For this particular workshop, you should already know the basics of how to crochet.  To learn before the workshop or just brush up on your crocheting skills, check out this tutorial:

If you have any questions before the workshop about materials, just send a convo to Cathy at fernfiddlehead!
