Aug 6, 2015

by Anna Hickey handmade and vintage goods

We are excited to announce the finalists of the 2015 Etsy Design Awards. Our judges had the tricky job of selecting this group of talented makers from hundreds of inspirational submissions and we are thrilled to be sharing their finds with you.

Now we need your help to pick the winner of the Community Choice Prize. Take a look at the finalists and vote for your favourite for the chance to WIN your very own prize and support our amazing community of makers and curators.

By voting in the awards you have the chance to WIN a $100 Etsy Gift Card. All you need to do to be in with the chance to win is comment on this blog post telling us who you voted for and and why. The competition closes at 5pm (AEST) on 20 August and we’ll announce the winners on 26 August. Please be sure to make yourself familiar with the Ts&Cs of this competition.

Community Choice Prize

The Etsy shop owner who wins the Community Choice prize will be flown to NYC to visit the Etsy HQ in Brooklyn and will be featured in the October issue of Inside Out (pretty prize cool huh!).

Good luck to all of our finalists and thanks for your support.

The amazing finalists can be viewed below or here in more detail.

I like colour. I like Lisa's hi-vis vest but would have liked it more if it were designed for regular wear (not just on a bike) and it were handmade. No offence to the local manufacturers. Points for mentioning them on your About page. I voted for VellaCampbell because I like classic menswear. I don't like brown but the fact that Jacinta makes the pattern and sews swayed me.

I'd choose the Willowynn Clothdoll as it's so beautiful and is definitely not something you can buy in a store.

Lots of exquisite things here! In the end I voted for Willowynn - there's obviously a lot of time and care going into every doll, and they have a gorgeous homely, old-fashioned feel.

I love the mitts for baristas, what a great idea! My vote goes to the mitts that will keep the hands of our baristas warm on these cold mornings!
