The season to eat, drink and be merry is almost upon us and where better to do that than the classic Christmas lunch. You’ve perfected the roast recipe, mastered the meringue and gathered friends and family – now to put the finishes touches to the table, pop some bubbly and enjoy the day.
We here at Etsy AU hosted our own Christmas lunch with some of our favourite media friends earlier this year and took great delight in styling our table to look as good as Cafe Paci’s food tasted. In the spirit of Christmas sharing, here are our tips (and favourite Etsy finds) for styling your own festive table.
Linen love

Linen napkin from Bind | Fold and tumbler from Twice Drunk
What’s the quickest way to add a little luxury to your Christmas lunch? Linen, of course! We chose a mix of shibori linen napkins from the talented Vic Pemberton of Bind|Fold for our Christmas lunch to add some subtle sophistication (and a lovely dose of colour) to our event. They even doubled as gifts with guests taking them home (along with a few other goodies).
Want to add some linen love to your lunch? Try these napkins from Melbourne maker Mr Draper, these playful polka dot versions from Aqua Door Designs or delicate designs from Blue Radish.
Textured tones

Concrete candle holders from Fox and Ramona
Mixing textures and finishes has been all the rage in homewares and fashion for some time, and it’s no different when it comes to your Christmas table. Along with lush linen, we added some cool concrete in the form of candles holders and vases from Fox & Ramona, upcycled glassware (made from wine bottles) from Twice Drunk and textured paper with the handlettered menus and placecards by Month of June Design.
Want even more textures? Try these leather napkin holders from H & G Design, marble coasters from Fiddle Leaf and concrete plates from Fox & Ramona.
Personal touches

Hand-lettered menu and placecards by Month of June
Nothing makes guests feel more special than seeing something made just for them. We worked with the talented Chloe from Month of June Designs to create handlettered menus and personalised place cards.
You can try personalising yourself with printable versions from Falmari Paper Co and French and Sparrow.
