With a background in design and a penchant for parties, Nouba editor Tamarin Morley has always been drawn to the creative aspect of putting on a great do. Engaged and uninspired back in 2012, she created Nouba as a way to share ideas beyond the bridal mainstream. Since its launch, Nouba’s become a creative wedding hub in Australia & New Zealand, arming couples with a wealth of knot-tying inspiration.

The term ‘boho’ gets thrown around aplenty in Wedding World, and while I’m not a huge fan of labels, I’m always excited by free spirited celebrations that shirk the hefty weight of tradition.

Our couples often look to Etsy for earthy, eclectic wedding decor, so when I was asked to curate some key boho pieces, I could already picture some beauties.

Bohemian elements can be easily woven through your wedding, be it a handcrafted macramé backdrop, vintage Persian rug altar or festoons of Moroccan lanterns. Natural textures of rope, timber and feathers look great offset with flashes of metallic, so be sure to mix it up!

Our home-grown talent is right on point when it comes to current trends, so I’ve looked no further afield than Australia and New Zealand for this lil’ roundup.
