Love the Scandinavian-style cottage. The monkey is adorable. I read the news story about him though and he is unfortunately no longer with us. Hopefully his relatives are flourishing.

I loved the slight color variation of the jars on each shelf. It is like a blue rainbow. Gorgeous.

Those ceramic hangy things look like they would be on stage at a Tom Waits concert, being used as instruments. Awesome!

How wonderful! After a year on etsy...and I finally find your blog. I know...pretty pathetic; but, what can I say. Very enjoyable! Thank you for your creative collection. My husband and I love that monkey and would never have known about it, if you hadn't found him for all of us. great Stuff. Thanks Dianna Wood

    great post!

Love the nails on page 7 and 16 (first link). I never do my nails though...I use my hands too much, the polish would come off within hours. Still I admire the runway trends and the people on pinterest who spend lengthy amounts of time on their nails...you have to have some patience to do that! The LED lashes are cool, but I doubt they would look good on someone with glasses. :( Still cool though.

Love the Advanced Style blog! Those ladies rocked Fashion Week with their impromptu fashion show at the Lincoln Center. Its about time older ladies showed the world that interesting fashion doesn't have to be solely the domain of the teen-to-20 set. And that "senior" ladies don't have to be automatically consigned to the dreary dustbin of polyester pants. Strut on, ladies!

  • mazedasastoat said 7 years ago

Hang on, someone used a fabulous set of shelves as an ART INSTALLATION? What the heck's the matter with these people? Don't they own any stuff that needs to be stored on shelves? And if not, why have shelves in the first place? Loved the penny pictures, despite the somewhat pretentious write-up. Sad to think things are still being marketed especially to women by simply changing the colour scheme to something girly... but if they didn't sell they wouldn't exist. The comments about the pastel Bic pens are well worth reading!

  • SunsetPrintAndDye said 7 years ago

I'm absolutely wild about wild flowers and had them at my wedding back in 1988! Oh the cottage, the cottage, so lovely and clean and un-cluttered. And all that white! Gives me some great inspiration, after all the kids are all grown now and the only one playing with crayons is me . . .

  • danleathergoods said 7 years ago

It is really beautiful, thank you for your sharing!

  • BambuEarth said 7 years ago

♥♥♥ This post has allowed me to cover a lot of ground today! I headed on over to "A Beautiful Mess" Blog and shared their awesome (totally awesome) tutorial on making beeswax candles. Then, of course, I was hijacked by their compelling content. I've, within minutes, discovered some pretty awesome things, both creative and useful. Such as their "Staying Inspired" and "Prolific Living" articles. And, my favorite part of the day? Well, I found out I need something I didn't even know I needed: the Wacom Bamboo Splash Tablet. Dude, I put it on my Wishlist. I'm so excited! Lol.

  • DewyMorningVintage said 7 years ago

I love the flying house picture! Gorgeous picks and photos!

  • jamieribisi said 7 years ago

Those oil on penny paintings are stunning!!! And... new monkey? Yes!!!

  • missantique said 7 years ago

oh I love that monkey! But for me is quite funny that someone, even a scientist would so presumptuously say that he discovered a new specie when it well known to his locals. Imagine someone from Central Africa coming to Europe or to the USA announcing he just discovered a new specie of owl that is familiar to us. That would be a headline to laugh of in the newspapers but this one is not? We occidentals can be so arrogant.
