This year Etsy will be partnering with the awesome team at Work-Shop to bring you a range of Etsy Master Classes designed to teach you new arts and crafts skills and take your Etsy shops to the next level.

Work-Shop is a creative concept designed to broaden your horizons and help you unleash your inner awesome. They provide affordable short courses in life skills and alternative art, teaming up with local creative stars to share knowledge and skills.

Over the next few months, some superstar Etsy sellers will be putting on their teaching hats and sharing their amazing skills; from fashion illustration to sock toys and a whole lot in between! You will also have the chance to learn the skills for selling on Etsy, directly from some of Australia’s most successful sellers.

Classes will be kicking off in Sydney and will also be available in Melbourne and Auckland in the coming months…and even more locations in the future as Work-Shop continue on their path to world domination!

So let’s get started with Sydney’s class schedule for May:

Stuffed Sock Toys with Judith Macrae from Me and Tex
May 2nd, 2014

Paper Cut Art with Marine Coutroutsios
May 7th, 2014

Fashion Illustration in Watercolour with Rose from Wolfgang & Rose
May 17th, 2014

Hand Embroidery with Lizzy Bryan from Luna Bloom Inc
May 21st, 2014

Getting started on Etsy.com
May 25th, 2014

But wait! There’s more?

Not only are Etsy sellers are being offered 20% off all Etsy masterclasses with the code ETSYWORKSHOP, Work-Shop will also be taking on the role of ‘Club House’ for local Etsy Teams, providing a space for teams to hold meetings, social gatherings and workshops. So if you’re a member of the Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland Team, look out for announcements about fun events happening at the Work-Shop location near you.

Work-Shop are always on the look out for more Etsy sellers to teach classes and share their skills, so if you have an idea for a class, they’d love to hear from you. Just shoot them an email at hello@work-shop.com.au.

I think it's awesome how many resources Etsy provides to its sellers. All of your tips have definitely come in handy over the last two years! Thank you!

This would be great... if any of those places were accessible to regional & remote Australian sellers. What about distance courses? Australia's a big country.. Also, there aren't that many location-based teams here. If the courses & teams are partnering... what happens if you don't have a local team? Just a few thoughts. Australia has some unique challenges that way.
